Frequently Asked Questions
There are occasions when the retailer may not have the exact
product you have ordered through us available at the time
of delivery. This means they will send you what they consider to
be the closest alternative instead, and your bill is adjusted
accordingly. This will also be reflected in your balance with us.

I have heard about ‘substitutions’. What are these, and how
do they work?
Your Questions & Our Answers
How does my account with you work?
This is much like a utility account. If you are making regular payments
to us by standing order then you maintain a balance which you can
ask us to use to order goods on your behalf.
Alternatively your balance can be maintained by mutually agreed
amounts paid by cheque in advance.
Can I close my account with you at any time?
Yes - just let us us know and we will refund any balance you may have
in your account at that time.
I have heard substitutions happen a lot? Are they a problem?
They do happen, but certainly not enough to worry about. It is still
of great benefit to have your shopping delivered even if you are
occasionally sent a very similar product to the one you asked for.
e?
Yes - just let us us know and we will refund any balance you may have
in your account at that time.
Can I reject an item I don’t want?
Yes - if you notice the driver is delivering an item you would prefer
not to accept then you can usually have it sent back straightaway
and will not be charged for it.
What form of payment do I have to use?
You can pay us by standing order or cheque.
Do I ever have to use my credit or debit card?
No.
How many deliveries do I pay you for at once?
If you anticipate using our service on a regular basis then by far
the best way to organise payment to us is by standing order. This
way you should always have enough credit with us to place an
order at any time.
When you pay by cheque we will would need to recieve payment
each time prior to an order. To avoid the situation where we
cannot place an order you really need then we ask that you make
payment for 3 deliveries in advance. This way you can ‘top up’ your
balance with us periodically and always be assured you that you
have the funds with us to place an order when necessary.
Do I have to order the same things every time?
No - we recognise that you will not want exactly the same itmes
every time, so you can, of course, amend your order. At the same
time we must bear in mind the administrative cost of making
frequent wholesale amendments. This why we ask you to draw up
a pretty comprehensive list to start with as it make things a lot easier
to change for you later on.
We do reserve the right to levy a small admin charge if it is clear
that your shop is taking much longer than other customers.
.
Can I have different items on each order?
Of course. You can change the order from one order to the next.
Please see, however, the response to ‘
Do I have to order the
same things every time’.
Can I amend an order once I have made it through you?
Yes - you can. We will need to inform us at leat 48 hours before
delivery, however, in order to ensure we can let the retailer know
in time.
What happens if my account is in credit with you?
We will monitor your balance in your account carefully. If you appear
to have excess credit with us then we can arrange a ‘payment
holiday’ or make a refund to you by cheque.
What happens to any credit if I stop the service with you?
If you decide to stop the service we will refund you any credit held
in your account with us.
Can I take a break from deliveries?
You can temporarily stop deliveries at any time you choose. We fully
recognise some people may not need to use the service ‘full-time’
and instead ‘dip in and out’.
What happens if I really need a delivery but there is not
enough credit in my account to cover it?
We are able to place an order up to the level of the balance you may
hold with us, but in this situation you would need to place an order
of a lower value until we received the appropriate payment from you.
Can goods be ordered for another person?
Yes - if you want us to arrange for the goods to go to another person
this is perfectly alright. This means you could place orders through
us on behalf of a relative or friend who would benefit from the service.
